Goafie vs Routebook

Last updated: October 15, 2026. Prices and features as of October 2026.

Goafie is a flight logbook and travel tracker for pilots, flight attendants and everyone they fly with: flights and hotels in one log, on iPhone or Android, with friends who can follow your whole trip. Routebook is a browser-based logbook for your complete flight history.

We make Goafie, so read this with that in mind. Everything here about Routebook comes from routebook.io (its home page, pricing, FAQ, changelog, terms and privacy policy), checked on October 13, 2026, and prices are US prices. If something here is out of date, tell us at support@goafie.com.

Where Goafie is different

  • Apps for iPhone and Android. Goafie is on the App Store and Google Play, so a crew or a family with mixed phones can all log their trips and follow each other's. Routebook runs in your web browser, and you can add it to your home screen.
  • Friends who see your whole trip. Find friends by @handle, from People you may know, or by sending a link. Friends see your flights and hotel stays, but not your seat, booking code, notes or loyalty numbers, unless you share a photo that shows them. See which friends are on your flight or at your hotel, react to their trips, and add a friend's flight to your own trips in one tap. Routebook shares your history through a public profile page, where you choose what's visible.
  • Subscribe to a friend's trips. Tap the bell on any friend's flight or stay, or turn on auto-subscribe to follow everything they add. Their trips sit in your Subscribed trips with their status, gate and aircraft. Subscribing is free; Goafie Pro tracks them live, sends you their alerts and puts their flight on your Lock Screen. Routebook can share a trip as a page, with a link that stops working after 1, 7 or 30 days, but doesn't list a way to follow someone else's trips.
  • Photos shared with friends on your flight. Add photos to any of your flights: the boarding pass, the aircraft, the cabin, the airport. Turn on sharing for that flight and your photos are pooled with friends on the same flight, so a crew or a family sees everyone's photos and boarding passes in one place. Sharing is off by default, set per flight, and free, and only friends on that flight see them. Routebook can show a Planespotters photo of the aircraft on a flight, but doesn't list a way to add your own photos or pool them with friends.
  • Your loyalty numbers on every flight. Save your frequent-flyer, hotel, lounge and car-rental numbers once, from about 700 airlines and 55 hotel groups, with a screenshot of each QR code if you like. Each flight shows your number for that airline, with one-tap copy and its QR code, and if you don't hold that airline's program it shows the alliance partner you do. Stays at the hotel groups Goafie recognizes show your hotel number and your nights with that group this year. Your lounge cards are one tap away on every flight. Free, and only you see them. Routebook doesn't list a way to save loyalty numbers.
  • Hotels alongside flights, shared with friends. Log your hotel stays next to your flights: search for the hotel and add your dates. Your nights away and cities count toward your year, Goafie counts your nights with each hotel group, and friends can follow your stays too. Routebook has hotel stays in Beta, off until you turn them on: you enter stays by hand on the free plan, and its browser-extension and Google Timeline imports need Routebook Pro.
  • Fast flight alerts. Goafie Pro checks your flight about every 5 minutes from 3 hours before departure, about every 3 minutes in the last 15 minutes, and about every 2 minutes while you taxi, so in those last 3 hours gate and delay alerts reach you within minutes of a change. On the free plan, your own flights still get gate and delay alerts at key checkpoints, and from 24 hours before departure until you land you can refresh a flight yourself as often as every 5 minutes. Once you sign in, the next airline flight you add gets Goafie Pro's tracking and alerts free, once, until it leaves your Trips. Routebook's live flight status and delay tracking are a Pro feature in Beta, shown as a status badge on your flight card, and its flight alerts go out by email.
  • A Lock Screen card on the free plan. Your own flights get a Lock Screen card from about 3 hours before departure until about an hour after you land: a Live Activity on iPhone, or a Live Update on Android 16 and newer. On Android and on iOS 17.2 or later it starts on its own, without opening the app. On the free plan its gate and delay details update at the same checkpoints as your alerts; with Pro, and on the next airline flight you add once you sign in, every few minutes. Routebook doesn't list a Lock Screen card.
  • Trips you've taken are never capped. With a free account, every flight and stay you add stays in your log, with no limit on how many. The free plan limits trips ahead of you to 10 at a time and new trips to 5 a day, and adding past trips needs Goafie Pro.
  • See where your plane is coming from, free. Once the airline assigns the aircraft, My Aircraft shows its tail number and age and the flights that same plane flew before yours, with how late each one ran, so you can spot a late inbound plane early. It's on your flights and your friends'. Routebook shows details about your aircraft, such as its photo, first flight date and how many times you've flown it, but doesn't list the flights it flew before yours.
  • Airport and airline reviews. Rate airports on security, terminal, food, wifi and navigation. Rate the airline for each flight on boarding, crew, comfort, food and entertainment, note the cabin you flew, and add up to 5 photos. Reviews are free. Routebook has airport pages, but doesn't list airport or airline reviews.
  • Ride Quality (Pro). A turbulence outlook for every leg of your route, built from pilot reports and NOAA advisories. Routebook doesn't list a turbulence forecast.

Can I take my trips with me?

Goafie: In the Me tab, under Account, tap Export My Trips to request a CSV of all your flights and hotel stays. Our team reviews each request and emails the file to your account email from support@goafie.com; it can take up to 14 business days. It's free on every plan. With Goafie Pro, Calendar Sync can also add your upcoming trips to a Google or Microsoft calendar; past trips aren't copied. Your past trips are never removed while your account exists, including if Pro ends.

Routebook: you can export to CSV. Exporting your flights needs Routebook Pro, and exporting hotel stays is free on every plan.

If you stop paying for Goafie Pro, it stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Then your account moves to the free plan: past trips stay, upcoming trips beyond the 10 soonest are deleted, and the friends' trips you follow stay in your list but stop sending you notifications. Routebook says that when Pro ends, your account moves back to its free plan and your flights and statistics stay as they are.

Quick answers

Is Goafie free?

Yes. Goafie is free to download, and every flight and stay you add stays in your log, with no limit on how many. The free plan holds up to 10 upcoming flights and stays at a time, and you can add 5 new trips a day. Once you sign in, the next airline flight you add also gets Pro tracking and alerts free, once. Goafie Pro adds unlimited trips and past trips from any date, for $4.99 a month or $54.99 a year in the US. Other countries see local prices.

Can I follow a friend's trip on Goafie?

Yes. Tap the bell on any friend's flight or hotel stay, or turn on auto-subscribe to follow everything they add. Subscribing is free on every plan; Goafie Pro adds that trip's alerts and puts your friend's flight on your Lock Screen. Routebook doesn't list a way to follow someone else's trips.

Can Goafie keep my loyalty numbers?

Yes. Save your frequent-flyer, hotel, lounge and car-rental numbers once, and Goafie shows the right one on each flight with one-tap copy and its QR code, and your hotel number on stays at the hotel groups it recognizes. It's free, and only you see them. Routebook doesn't list a place for loyalty numbers.

Do I get flight alerts on the free plan?

Yes. On Goafie's free plan, gate and delay changes on your own flights reach you at key checkpoints: in the last 3 hours before departure, within about 30 minutes of a change, and in the final 15 minutes, within about 5 minutes. Goafie Pro sends them within minutes, and so does your 1st Free Pro Flight: once you sign in, the next airline flight you add gets Pro tracking and alerts free, once. On Routebook, live flight status and delay tracking need Routebook Pro and are in Beta.

Can I move my flight history from Routebook into Goafie?

Not today. Goafie can't import files from other flight apps. You add flights by flight number or route, and adding past trips needs Goafie Pro. With Pro, Calendar Sync can also import trips from Apple Calendar (on iPhone), Google or Microsoft calendars.

Does Goafie work in a web browser like Routebook?

No. Goafie is an app for iPhone and Android, and there is no web version. Routebook runs in the browser and can be installed to your home screen.

Who Goafie is for

Goafie is for people who fly with other people: crews, families and friends on iPhone and Android who want to follow each other's whole trips, flights and hotels, and share the photos from the same flight. It keeps your loyalty numbers ready on every flight, and on the free plan it puts your own flight on your Lock Screen and sends you its gate and delay changes. With Goafie Pro you can add past trips from any date, and there's no limit on how many trips you hold or add.
